Meet Steve Warren. Steve is the Rental Department Manager at Midwest Photo. This is the guy that you go to see when you want to shoot with the nicest lenses and bodies, but you don’t want to have to own them. He will get you hooked up with whatever it is that you are looking for, just cruise in and hit him up over in the Rental Department. Nicest guy, for real.

I used the Westcott 7′ Parabolic umbrella here as the key light. There is a 12×36 stripbox with grid on the right, and a Magnum reflector on the background. The Westcott 7′ Parabolic is just a huge umbrella, but it is so versatile, and dynamic. I think it is underrated as a powerful light shaping tool. It that can be used for so many things; environmental portraits, fashion, full body and shots with movement, etc.

This was actually one of the first shots I took of Steve during our session. Sometimes you don’t even know what you have until you get into the edit. That’s where you find the expressions you didn’t know you had.
