We are running a Red White and Boom Rental Special starting today, July 2. Pick up your gear by 1 PM on Tuesday, July 2 and return it by 11 AM on Monday, July 8 for a ONE-DAY RENTAL CHARGE. Our Mirror Lake Photo Walk is happening Saturday, July 13 at 9:00 AM. Columbus is home to one of the largest universities in the world, and its campus is one that’s rich in history and in photogenic sites. This walk, which begins at the tradition-rich Mirror Lake, will allow photographer’s to explore and photograph the Ohio State University campus’ lush greenery and historical architectural destinations, including stony Browning Ampitheater, the numerical Garden of Constants, the sleekly modern Wexner Center, and the picturesque Oval. This photo walk is perfect for Ohio State students, alumni, and fans, in addition to anyone who wants to spend a relaxing summer morning capturing the architecture and nature of one of the most beautiful campuses in the country—without students trying to photo-bomb your work. We are offering a Beginner DSLR Class with Dorn Byg on Saturday, July 20. This class will get new DSLR users up-and-running in no time. Get out of auto and take control of your camera. For your photography business, the sky’s the limit when you sign up for our daylong Photography Business Seminar on Saturday, August 3. We’ve enlisted three professional photographers from Columbus to discuss the various aspects of owning and operating your own photography business. Topics range from client management, financial organization and incorporation, and marketing and expanding your customer base. This all-day seminar is perfect for the photographer who’s just starting his or her photo business, or for the photo business owner that wants to expand and streamline their business. Join us on Saturday, August 10 for our Moonlight Market Photo Walk in downtown Columbus. Moonlight Market is Columbus’ first nighttime open-air market. Located downtown on the eclectic pocket of Gay Street nestled between High and Third, Moonlight Market hosts a plethora of local and regional vendors, musicians, artists, tradespeople, and artisans, in addition to the existing businesses on Gay Street, culminating in the most exciting, most colorful, tastiest market under the stars. Gay St. The first leg of the walk will take us south on Third, including Columbus icons such as the Columbus Dispatch building and the Statehouse. We’ll circle around the Statehouse, capturing all sides of that historical building, then head east on Broad Street, where participants will have a great view of downtown. Finally, we’ll head north up Pearl Alley, ending at Moonlight Market, where participants will have an extended opportunity to capture the hustle-and-bustle energy of this exciting new Columbus event. Led by Aaron Sheldon, this photo walk is a great opportunity for photographers who want to capture twilit images of Columbus landmarks under the stars. It’s a perfect chance to photographers to test their mettle at capturing perfectly exposed nighttime urban shots, and to practice your street photography amid the controlled chaos of Columbus’ newest open-air street market.
