As a beginning photographer myself, I asked several professional photographers for Words of Wisdom about all aspects of photography—technical, artistic, business. I thought I would share their advice with any readers who are also beginning photographers, in an ongoing series that aims to provide some insight into the world of professional photography.
Aaron R. Lindemann is a Wisconsin-based portrait and commercial photographer. Check out some of Aaron’s work at his website and give him a like on his Facebook page while you’re at it! Here are Aaron’s “Words of Wisdom”:
Photographers need to be more than a ‘camera man/woman’, they need to have a vision for something they want to share with the world.

Whether it’s available or created, LIGHT is a photographers PRIMARY tool of communication; after content, of course.

Imagine every shot cost you $500 to make; you’ve slowed down, haven’t you!? NOW stop and appreciate that it doesn’t.

Finally, master your technique, but never lose sight of your content.
