This Week in the World looks at this week’s most interesting stories out of the photo world.
LumoPro published a teaser image of their upcoming LP180 Quad Sync Manual Flash. Check it out at Photo Rumors or LP’s (as we affectionately refer to them) Facebook page. Being their exclusive U.S. dealer, yeah, we’re pretty darn excited.

I Heart Faces announced the location of their 2013 Photography Conference for Women and it just so happens to be in our neck of the woods.

Firmware dump: Firmware updates were posted for the Nikon V1 and Capture NX software, a bunch of Sony DSLRs and NEX bodies and lenses, and the Canon EOS-1D X. Thanks to Nikon Rumors, DP Review, and Photography Blog (in no particular order) for the heads-up.

Maybe don’t count on a large sensor compact camera from Canon? However, the 70D is coming, so that’s pretty cool. Read DP Review‘s interview with Canon’s Masaya Maeda here.
Pentax “confirms” full-frame DSLR plans, sort of. At least, they’re considering full-frame. Oh, you’re coy, Pentax. But the truth will out! (via Photo Rumors)
It’s an electric razor! It’s an electric toothbrush! No, it’s Ricoh’s panoramic camera! (via Pop Photo)

Sony NEX-3N leaked, so that’s pretty awesome. (via Photography Bay)
