Fire And Ice, Iceland Photography Tour, Soft Lite Studios
Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Iceland
If you are joining us, in Iceland, this September (September 14th through September 23rd), one of the fabulous locations, we will be shooting, is Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall is in the Southern Region of Iceland, and is very near Route 1. Seljalandsfoss is easily one of the most popular waterfalls in Iceland and is a must shoot location, given its extremely photogenic qualities. Beyond its over 60 meter (197 foot) drop, one of its most interesting features is the hiking path that takes visitors behind the falls themselves.
Iceland’s Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, as most waterfalls do, lends itself nicely to long exposure imaging and we will, of course, be utilizing our workshop time to explore various long exposure settings to capture the ideal image of the falls in action. From out in front, to around the back, and various viewing angles in between Seljalandsfoss offers many scenic landscape images to be captured. Subtle variations in position and composition makes this natural wonder a fine art image, just waiting to be immortalized in print form.
Before we leave Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, continuing with our Iceland Photography Tour, we will explore a variety of shooting techniques at the site. The waterfall and its surrounding landscape images, offer the perfect opportunity to discuss dynamic range concerns, high dynamic range (HDR) imaging, focus stacking techniques and even captures of panorama images. Our goal, at this stop, and always, is to assist you in coming home with fine art images, that achieve results you have been able to realize in the past.
It goes without saying, we keep the enrollment in our photography workshops small (no more than a 5 to 1, guide to participant ratio), so that learning is easy and help is always just a step away. Our workshop itineraries feature stunning landscape photography locations, wildlife photography opportunities, and finally, equal parts imaging workflow and post-processing sessions.
Tim Neumann and Lorie McQuirt, certainly hope you will join us for our Fire And Ice – Iceland Photography Tour, you are sure to have the time of your life, capture new and compelling fine art images, while acquiring new photography knowledge and making new friends.
