While we didn’t have a really cold or snowy Winter, the few snow showers that we did get lead to some pretty awesome snow covered morning walks. My faithful companion, Aaliyah and I, spent some time exploring and photographing this last display of Winter’s beauty.

It is not unusual for me to shoot street/field images with a macro lens on. In a situation, like this snow covered morning, where I might happen across some macro worthy subjects, I am all set. Switching to scenic images is no problem and the macro focal length does a great job with scene compression as well as offering excellent edge to edge sharpness in the final image. All this in one lens, nice and easy to carry, especially when walking the dog at the same time.
