In a tribute to the famous Rick Wakeman and the band Yes, found this lovely example of organic shape and symmetry on a recent downtown photo walk. I’ll admit this is the second go around at this shot, as the first attempt just didn’t quite hit the mark.

So the macro lens may seem like an odd choice in this image, but when you think it through it may not be so odd after all. The macro lens, at this focal length (90mm) has a nice ability to both pull in the scene in the viewfinder as well as compress some of the distance in the image. Additionally being very flat field, the lens does an excellent job controlling both edge focus and avoiding distortion in the final result.
