Line Study

One of the efforts I am involved in this year is a series of composition studies and assignments. In the spirit of “eating my own dog food” (you can now tell I am an IT geek), I am out working the assignments that I am putting together for others to follow. Here is a quick study of lines and pattern in an image I found while out street shooting.
ISO 800 1/4000 @ f/4.0 at 111mm
In taking this image I was concerned with two things. One, I wanted the diagonal to strongly make a line from one corner of the frame to the other. Two, I really wanted to make sure my angle not only represented the pattern, but the color variation in the pattern over the distance of the scene.
