The orchids from last week’s visit to the Franklin Park Conservatory are just too compelling, I keep returning to that shoot in my Lightroom catalog and finding more that I like.

ISO 200 ­ 1/400 @ f/16

Gear used:

I wanted a little different angle in this shot, including more of the flower’s body. Also interested in more depth of field down the center of the bloom. Moving back from the image, with the macro lens results in both of those goals being accomplished. The move back required a little more ISO and some additional flash power.
