Speaking in Tongues II

Another Orchid/Serpent image from this past weekend. The Orchids are back at the Franklin Park Conservatory and so am I.

• Canon 5D SR body
• Canon MP­E65mm 1­-5X Macro
• Canon MT­24EX Macro Flash
• 2X Sto­Fen MT­24EX Diffusers

As you might have seen in my previous post, I love Orchids for a myriad of reasons. Such delicate, yet complex blooms. This image takes advantage of a low ISO to effectively eliminate the background ambient light and a little manual flash to fill in the foreground elements that I found interesting in the composition. Definitely getting comfortable with the Canon MP­E65mm lens and very happy with the sharpness of the images I am getting from it.
