Blue Skies in Black and White

Got some blue skies out today and I am still in the mood for black and whites! Golden hour light is also beautiful in monochrome. I rushed downtown to catch the last hour of sun on the architecture downtown. The blue skies and vivid light make for some great detail and tones. It was hard for me to turn these photos black and white as the colors were so vivid, but they needed to be monochrome.

I was using the Nikon D750 full frame body and the Nikkor 28mm f/4 PC lens. with the perspective control of this vintage lens, I was able to straighten the verticals in all of the pictures featured. The lens has a shift feature that works well for keeping lines straight in architecture.  Some blue skies, golden sunlight, and a wide angle lens and it’s a party.

Gear used:

Nikon D750 FX Body

Nikkor 28mm f/4 PC lens

Lexar 32GB Professional 633x UHS-I SDHC Memory Card

See you tomorrow.
