I almost walked by this detail, in the structure of the Findlay Market, Over The Rhine, Cincinnati. Once I noticed it, I had to get a version of it that did the feel of looking at it in person real justice.

Once my eye settled upon this detail, I knew I wanted to find a way to express both the visual perspective of what I was seeing as well as the interplay of the lights shining up into the structure. Composition was all about making sure I was centered underneath the opening and had a squared up image in the frame of the viewfinder. One stop of underexposure helped to keep the highlights in check and eliminate the clipping in the Whites.
