Nikon Japan recently announced a March 7 release date for their new Nikkor 18-35mm F3.5-4.5G ED lens and their super-wide 1 Nikkor 6.7-13mm F3.5-5.6 lens for their mirrorless 1 Series.

For those of you who use Lightroom 4 (which should be everybody who reads this blog) or Camera Raw, Adobe posted Lightroom 4.4 and ACR 7.4 release candidates.

So, the Fuji X20 and X100S autofocus speeds clock in at less than a tenth of a second. We knew that. What we didn’t know is that it’s shutter is quieter than the wind on a calm summer day.

First, DKNY used photos by photographer Brandon Stanton (of Humans of New York fame) without Stanton’s permission in a window display in Bangkok. Then, Stanton posted about it on Facebook and asked DKNY to donate $100,000 to the Bed-Stuy YMCA. DKNY responded by donating $25,000 to the YMCA. What do you think about this story? Washington Post photographer Tracy Woodward was stripped of the Award of Excellence he received from the White House News Photographers Association “Eyes of History” contest after it was discovered that the image was “substantially edited from its original form.”
