Slate retrospective on Martine Franck focuses on the photographer, not the wife

Martine Franck passed away last week. She was the wife of Henri Cartier-Bresson, but she was also an amazing photographer in her own right. This retrospective by Kate Phillips at Slate highlights Franck’s “eye for design in the world around her” and focuses on her work, not on her status as “her husband’s wife.”
