Adobe is heading to the clouds, dumping its Creative Suite software and instead making CS accessible through subscription-based Creative Cloud. As expected, there was some push-back from Adobe acolytes (or, you know, pirates or whatever), but Winston Hendrickson, Adobe VP of Creative Solutions, spelled out Adobe’s reasoning with an in-depth Q&A. A Kickstarter campaign created a copyright controversy when its proprietor took art off the internet, converted it to B&W, and then sold it on 80lb card stock. But it also seems like the controversy is settling down, which is good. (via A Photo Editor and PetaPixel)

Snoop Lion, the Artist Formerly Known as Snoop Dogg, released a photo app called Snoopify. (via Laughing Squid)

Samsung drew some heat when it appropriated someone’s photo for their Facebook page and stated it was taken with a Samsung camera when actually the image was captured with a Nikon. (via PetaPixel)

However, Samsung did score one in the “cool” column, when rumors began to surface that they were developing a Galaxy S 4 Zoom. (via Ars Technica)

Google might break the record of “Biggest Photo Walk” this weekend, with at least 600 people expected to participate. (via Thomas Hawk)
